Stalker photo of Zane Caplansky and Mark Cutrara at Thunderin’ Thelma for the win. Thanks for being so photogenic guys!
Finally, a photo that I can’t say needs more me. Hahahhahahah. Mazeltov tov on the win Lex
Do you guys have a favourite?
AlexaClark I like the self-portrait in spoon, and the picture of your Dad holding the egg. Those are my two faves. Also a big fan of what I assume is a butchershop on your trip to Spain, with all those jamons hanging from the ceiling!
PatAnderson Thanks Pat. The spoon and Dad holding the egg were both photos gerrythorpe strongly encouraged me to include.
Yes the butchershop was in the Casco Viejo neighbourhood in Bilbao, filled corner to corner with pork. I wasn’t happy with the colour balance I got with that shot. Still learning… a lot ;->
AlexaClark PatAnderson gerrythorpe I took some pictures of hanging hams in Italy — it’s very difficult to get the color balance! there’s daylight from the front window and usually fluorescent light above the hams. Challenging to make them look natural. I think you did a good job at that!
Love these photos! Yes, I must admit I’m a foodie.
talexbThanks man! Don’t forget to check the complete set of winner’s photos on swallow_food. Lots of really stellar shots there. http://www.swallowfood.com/2013-86d-food-photography-awards-finalists-winners/
