Social Mix 2012

Social Mix 2012

It’s becoming a habit, when I return from the island I go almost immediately to a conference. This time it was Social Mix 2012 put on by Jugnoo which brought me out of my island-mode and immediately into the crowds of smart, inspiring and fascinating people. The conference, which also functioned as a fundraiser for The Remix Project, was great.  Really engaging and charismatic speakers talking about social from a strong business perspective.  My kind of conversations. I loved the fact that both Amber Mac, in her opening key note, and Gary Vaynerchuk, in his closing key note, talked about…

It’s Patently Unfair To Bring a Camera To Breakfast

It’s Patently Unfair To Bring a Camera To Breakfast — Originally uploaded by LexnGer I know more than a few of you who are reading this have be subjected to a similar fate because of me and my camera(s). But at least I don’t usually do it to you before 9am. These guys on the other hand… I was recently invited to join Ryan and Dave from HootSuite for a group breakfast. I really should have just left it in my bag – but somehow, I never do. Funny that I didn’t have any shots of food.

Using a squash soup as the basis, he took us through the flavour development step by step. it was…
