Bicycles on the ice

As I was leaving the island, I saw cyclists on the ice by Long Beach. What a change a couple of weeks make. Mather’s Island, Kennebecasis River, NB Now there are ATV’s, skiers, skidoos, and even cyclists on the ice when just days ago people were shocked that I would even consider walking on it. After protecting the island for months, and spending so much time alone there, it felt weird walking away and seeing these bikes so close.
