Dreamt of home last night.
Woke up missed the sound of the waves, the kiss of of the wind, the flavour of salt air on my lips.
Feeling the pull of the island, the woods, the river. The love.
Love that someone found unsweetened.ca by searching for “beautiful river”. This isn’t the only beautiful river I photograph or talk about, but it is the one I love.

I Woke up this morning to find the island had transformed into a enchanted forest. Everything is covered in sparkly ice crystals – the trees, the raspberry canes, the dogs – everything!
The sun is bright and even the most mundane things look like they have been sprinkled with fairy dust and are glistening and sparkling.
Sometimes you can find the coolest stuff just steps from your own front door.
The woman with the camera from CBC loved the dogs, but since only Pork Pie and Meatloaf came out to help, the rest were howling away. There is a great clip in her final video of the ones who had to stay on the island howling.
With Kaya dogging my steps and trying to jump up and steal my mitt from right off my hand.
