Yes, those are electric lights and I am ashore. Yes, those are electric lights and I am ashore. It had been crazy windy today with threats of more. But a break in the weather right before dark feel and I was rushed from theout house onto the boat and across the river. (bet you never thought you’dbe reading that phrase on a blog!) In preparation for the next Chef’s #LoveCDNBeef series, Gerry and I visited Kensington Market yesterday to pick up some of the ingredients we needed to test the recipe. When we stopped for lunch, Gerry couldn’t resist hauling out the herbs again-and-again to taking big heady sniffs.
Loving My Office Buddy — Originally uploaded by LexnGer It’s not often that Gerry joins me at the office, but this is one of the fantastic benefits of having him join me. Fresh lunch cycled in from the Home Office Kitchen. Complete with fresh pepper and parm. Thank you Gerry!
Our Fire Escape Being Fixed — Originally uploaded by LexnGer And the truly scary part is that it is much safer now than it was yesterday!

Power & Sunshine — Originally uploaded by LexnGer Had a conversation recently with my university roommate about the value ofour electives in our current lives – i.e. his business courses versus myelectrical engineering courses. (We left out my drama courses entirely) I agreed that his choices would serve me better now… but, look Bill, I’musing my electives now! First of the season — Originally uploaded by LexnGer Breakfast of 10-grain french toast made with free range eggs from islandhens, ham and the first raspberries of the season straight from the cane. No refridgeration and haven’t been to the store in 5 days. Not bad eh?
Soap Dome — Originally uploaded by LexnGer With everyone complaining and whining about todays rainy and gloomy day, I thought I’d show you something beautiful that is only possible on a gray and damp day. If the sidewalk had not been saturated this soap bubble would not have just sat there waiting for me. And it was waiting for me. This was taken in Yorkville in front of the Cumberland Street Toy Store that is just east of Bay where they have a robotic teddy bear blowing bubbles at passers by. Interested in some really kick-ass bubble photos? Check Richard…
40 bands and artists across Toronto busked today to raise money for War Child. Our friend Mike was out with The Reason playing in the sunshine, so of course we took a little afternoon break from work and went over to listen and support.
When I was home, Di & Deb picked me up early Saturday morning for a visit to the Kingston Farmers Market. What great fun we had visiting old friends like Clark & Sue and checking out the cool foods. As with most Farmers Markets this is evolving quickly into a place to go and eat as well as shop.
A soap bubble machine, a wet sidewalk and a wiliness to get down on the ground make for a fun a unique photo.
