Day 11 – Wet Lazy Day

Another lazy day… as if the last couple have been high energy and high accomplishment. I think the main reason was that it was seriously wet and drippy. The river is starting to look like a road filled with puddles. There is plenty of ice for crossing, just plenty of water on top of that. Dad is still sick… feeling slightly better today or so he says between the bouts of moaning and complaining. Steak and Eggs for the boys for breakfast. Peter claims this is the reason he “slept the day away.” Yet somehow he still managed to get on the river for the wettest ski ever.

Did I mention that it was raining today?

Made more bread – this time english muffin type rolls cooked on the griddle. Beautiful. Peter struck on the idea of Beef & Broccoli Oyster Sharp, as opposed to Beef & Broccoli Oyster Mild, for dinner. Now while English Muffins and stir fry aren’t a traditional meal… anywhere… boy o boy were those rolls good!
