Day 24 – Day in the Big City

It’s funny, it really feels like I’m heading into the “big city” when I’m off to downtown. Silly girl that I am. Caught a ride in with M and then headed to the Roasted Cherry.

Peter joined me to get WIFI working on his laptop finally. We tried in Toronto, and on the road to Ottawa. This time it worked almost seamlessly. Got all the notes to writers and then grabbed a quick lunch at Café Saffron – lunch combo, 2 items on rice, and did the site visit.

At the same time did Dewan, which was right next-door and has a $1.99 Daal on Pulao rice special. Now that’s a deal!

Then inadvertently swung by Persian Express that had a guy blowing soap bubbles out front… how cool! Over to the pseudomall at Laurier & Bank to see if I can get a wireless connection and do a little work before heading back to the Roasted Cherry. Met up with Dr.E who is looking seriously hip and her man Mr.C. We went to their place for a glass of wine and then off to dinner at Mamma Grazie’s. It was a lovely meal with lovely company. We then wandered off for dessert at Oh So Good Desserts. Jump on the 10:26pm bus back to Fallowfield station and was back in “my room” by 11:01pm. So, perhaps, maybe, Barrhaven isn’t all that far.
