Metro Lex

We made it to Montreal before Alex’s train left the station.  Now to boot it down to the train station in record time. Less than 20 minutes before his train pulls out. Down stairs, through turnstiles, onto the subway car, more turnstiles, up escalators, down escalators, up more stairs, along tunnels, through doors…

After all that, Alex was already on the train when we reached the station.  Gerry stayed in the station with our luggage as Lex ran down more stairs and along the length of the train searching for Alex’s compartment (with a Via Rail employee’s help of course.)

To town, to the train station, to Alex’s compartment before the train pulled out of the station. I even got to sing him Happy Birthday.  Then we jumped on the Metro to head to Mont-Royal station and our hostel – Auberge Chez Jean
