Giving Thanks.

First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to our US friends, readers, and lurkers.

More than any Thanksgiving in the past, I am thankful today.  One year ago today, my father had a heart attack. He was stuck on an isolated island for 3 days before the weather allowed him to get to the hospital.  Less than 6 months later he had a stroke as a result of the heart attack.

We were very lucky that dad survived and is doing well back on his island.  Other people and families have not been so lucky.

In honour of Thanksgiving I invite you to consider making donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or your local equivalent.
