Island Time!

Last CoffeeOne last Starbucks with a buttermilk blueberry muffin and a leisurely review of my morning’s email.

A little bike ride to deliver some books to World’s Biggest Bookstore.  Then flag down a manager, book in hand, to inquire as to why they don’t have CheapEats Toronto as part of their big Toronto display. (feel free to do this yourselves if ever you feel the urge.)

A little lunch and back to get things wrapped up before climbing into Japor’s car for the 16 hour drive to the island.

Humm, should I pack the mountain of leather from the in-laws for dad to make harnesses?  Where was that stack of BookExpo books for family?  Shove the meat into the marinade and into the freezer.  It’ll be just ready in time to throw it on an apple wood fire for dinner tomorrow.

That’s after touring the island, visiting all the dogs, chickens and rabbits, and of course the swim.

Happy Vacation everybody!

What are your plans?

I guess it depends on how one defines “consequence”.
Officially “Mather’s Island”, quasi-historically “Moose Island”, actually “home”. A small New Brunswick island in the Kennebecasis River between Long Island and the Gondola Point Ferry, across from Quispamsis/Rothesay. A more functional description is… about 20 miles upriver from Saint John on the Kennebecasis.
Around where the Saint John crew, of Heritage Moment fame, rowed.
It’s visible on google maps, I just haven’t been able to get a functional url to share.

Ah… that kind of harness. I was going to ask.
Sharkboy and I are going to take a week off and camp at the Point campground from Aug 04 to 11th or somesuch time. Expect an image or two. Maybe even one suitably written in ketchup!
    Enjoy your time off!
