Thanksgiving Weekend All Way

I know, I know, you’re all chomping at the bit to know how our Thanksgiving went.

My excuse is that we had a busy weekend with Mom, Andy, CIUT‘s The First Word, and 14 guests for dinner.  Add to that the fact I jumped on a bus and headed to Ottawa before all the dishes were even done, thanks honey!, and well, I was just too lazy to keep you up to date.

So I give you our weekend in images, starting with our trip to the AGO

Eating Andy

Then there was Thanksgiving Dinner:

Thanksgiving Food

A potluck of outstanding grub! I find it a little stressful cooking for our family and friends – but only because I KNOW they are foodies with great palates.

It makes my rustic fare feel a little pedestrian. But hey, they’re getting fed right?

With some wonderful, talented, and fascinating family and friends

Thanksgiving Crowd

With 14 for dinner, it was a great crowd too! Good friends, impressive cumulative resume, a great cross section of ages from pre-1 to post-64, at least 3 major religions and a couple of  agnostics, great conversations and  wonderful people.

It blows me away how cool our family and friends are…

Oh, and at the last minute the in-laws called saying they had freed themselves up and asking if there was room for them. Silly in-laws! Of course there was!

Sounds good – I think I really missed the ‘crowd’ this year.

Oh Lex – looking at those photos makes me hungry all over again. Think this turkey dinner frozen Michelinas meal will be as good? At least I still have that apple I took from your place.

Jay – it’s nice to have a quiet thanksgiving once in a while… but the crowd really makes the event.
roro – ACK! Michelinas, it’s a good thing I’m headed back to town, cuz obviously you can’t feed yourself. Eat the apple and pick a day for lunch next week.
