The Feast of All Feasts

Yes, Thanksgiving is just days away and I’m already salivating.  Turkey – yum!  Cranberry sauce – extra yum!  Potatoes – yum!  Apple in any and all forms – yum yum yum!

It's Time To Fill Your Plates

Our menu this year is going to include some of my absolute favourites:

  • Turkey w/ garlic molasses glaze
  • Pepper Cornbread stuffing
  • Cranberry sauce w/ orange zest  (sadly, we’ll have to do without Roth’s fresh cranberry relish)
  • Riced Potatoes
  • Apple pie
  • Kavi’s grannie’s cornbread, original recipe from the deep south, y’all.
  • Wine – lovely lovely red wine.

And for some of the guests, we’ll also be serving

  • Candied Yams (courtesy of M.Tinto)
  • Baked Squash w/ brown sugar

And I can’t wait.

So what’s on your menu and what makes Thanksgiving Thanksgiving for you?

I have great memories (from years ago, when my memory was better than it is today) of a very nice mulled wine. The cinnamon. The warmth. Yummm.
Or maybe that was a housewarming evening.

I really must check with Ann on what she plans to cook for me. (I am so lucky that she doesn’t go online to read my gloating about marvelous meals provided with no effort from myself)
