A Moment of Silence

Yesterday was Remembrance Day.

A day of ceremony, poppies and a moment of silence.

The odd thing is that while I saw poppies sprouting up on coats all around me, I never found a place to get my own.

Because of the solemnity of the day and experiences like that in Creampuff’s excellent post, I go out of my way to find a poppy and rarely spend a November 11th poppy free, but before I could call out for assistance the time had come and gone.
