Cool Things My Friends Are Doing (or #91 Take Up Stalking)

I’ve been remiss in highlighting the cool things my friends are doing, so hold on tight we’ve got a wild set of events coming up:
Stalker

Events

Fri Nov.10 – Our friend Alexa Wing & Voxworks are doing two Remembrance Day performances of their Love & War concert

Sat Nov.11 – Our recently hitched buddy Ken Osmond & The Grayceful Daddies are back @ the Black Swan on Saturday.

Nov.17-Dec.3 – Vith’s brother, who you may remember from the Rochdale Project, is featured in the first-ever English production of Ritter, Dene, Voss

Nov 23-Dec 3 – Thorpe Toys (aka the in-laws) will be at the One of a Kind Craft Show & Sale with their handcrafted wooden toys in Booth #I-40.  We’ll be dropping by regularly attempting to help out, but probably just getting under foot.  Swing by and say hi.

Michael Colero will also be there with his must-have jewellery at Booth #E-37.

Other Types of Cool Things

Amanda Earl is one of the cool Ottawa blogs nominated for the Xpress “Best of Ottawa” list. If you are Ottawa-based, take a second and vote for your favourites of Ottawa.

My friend Kelo is spreading the word on the “ICE idea“.  Add your “In Case of Emergency” contact into your cell as ICE.

I may have already offended you by asking you to play an “uptight boutique owner”, “a straight business man” (still looking) or even a waiter in Jim Munroe‘s Infest Wisely.  Filming is well underway, but you can expect me to be spreading the word when it opens.

Shame on me

for missing out on telling you about Dave’s participation in the Bad Dog Short Play Festival and  Dead Robot’s improv shows.

Thanks for the plug! I’m sorry I didn’t notice this sooner, but I’ve been, you know… busy…

Dead Robot – ya, what with the wedding and all. Congrats!
Oh, by the way, a couple of items I missed… yes, I suck.
Lorna Mills has a new video titled “The Road To Hell Is Paved With Squished Frogs” opening in a group show, PLACED, Friday November 10, 6 – 9 at Harbourfront.
Creampuff‘s play Anne and Diana Were Totally Doing It is being performed tomorrow night at Edmonton’s Loud’n’Queer Festival

I saw the booth for Thorpe Toys yesterday at the show and I have been kicking myself ever since for not buying something. The link you have posted doesn’t work – can you give me another contact for them?
    Thanks!

    Alisa,
certainly! I’ll email you some contact details in the morning. Right now we’re at One of a Kind helping them tear down after the show.

    Hi there,
I am trying to contact Thorpe Toys but none of their links work. Bought some toys at the One of a Kind, now my friend wants some too. Where can we reach them to set something up? Thanks!
