Book Meme redux

I decided to participate in Venus' Book Meme without being tagged.  I don't usually do memes, but I'm sick and bored, and had a book easily within grasp.

Here are the meme instructions:  (you've likely seen this one before)

  1. Grab the closest book to you.
  2. Open to page 123 and find the fifth sentence on the page.
  3. Post the following three sentences to your blog.
  4. Name the book and the author.
  5. Tag three more people (and I'm assuming no tag-backs.)

Season and moisten with mayonnaise. Pile into egg whites.  Tuna Stuffed Eggs — Use 6 hard-cooked eggs.

Yours is sure tastier than mine. The book meme, I mean … never mind …

The last time I saw this meme, it was “open to page 123 … find the third paragraph … post it to your blog”. But, I bet your book doesn’t have a third paragraph on page 123 … does it?

The last time I saw this meme CheapEats was the closest book.

But to answer your question, yes, this book does have a third paragraph on page 123.  You asked for it, here it is:

Tuna Suffed Eggs — Use 6 hard-cooked eggs. Combine mashed yolks with 17-ounce can of tuna fish, mashed, 1/4 cup creamed butter and season with black pepper and cayenne. Combine 2 cups cooked pea puree, salt, pepper and curry powder to taste. Pile egg yolk-tuna mixture in six egg halves; pile pea-puree mixture in remaining halves. Yield: 6 portions.

Think tuna eggs sounds a little dodgy?  Remember, mayo is almost entirely egg and oil and tuna salad is mainly mayo and tuna.
