Introducing – The Finn

A friend, and regular CheapEats contributor, has just opened her own bar – The Finn @ 971 College Street just west of Dovercourt.

We were invited for the “introduction night” last week and I was really impressed.

Ann & Scott have taken a slightly divey neighbourhood drinking spot and turned it into a place you’d be happy to bring a client to sample local microbrews or sip a martini. They’ve done a full HGTV-style redesign on the space (without the HGTV-drama) and come up with something that is slick and stylish. The menu is still under construction but the bar is fully stocked with microbrews, Guinness and Strongbow on tap.

I think the formal Grand Opening Event is still being planned and as soon as I have details I’ll pass them along.  But in the meantime, it’s a great spot to drop in for a drink this season.

Perfectly located on the nearest streetcar line too!
