Hinterland Who’s Who
A little bit of Canadiana for those of us missing the winters of our childhoods. The theme music will conjure up winter Saturday mornings when the snow was piled deep outside your door. Your parents still tucked in bed, you were curled up on the floor in front of the tv. Your corn flakes getting soggy as you switch quickly from one station to the next to see which of the 3 you could get had the best cartoon on next. Then… you hear the call of the Hinterland and you stop, hand still on the knob, to find out Who’s Who….

thanks to DeadRobot for the memories.
I never did figure out where (or when) “Hinterland” is. Or how big it is, that all these animals live there (or then).
Nice! No, no … I don’t remember that specific vignette. I do recall that one of the can-com shows (Farce? 22 minutes?) did a series of take-offs about Canadian politicians that were, um, a hoot. A hoot, just like the snowy owl of northern Manitoba …
corn flakes, you had food and three channels I only had two. You lived on the right side of the tracks, me the wrong side but I do remember these. I think I saw this particular one in University.
Classic! You know, they still do these (I saw one on the weekend, actually). You can see both recent and classic videos at the Hinterland Who’s Who website.
Holy snikies Ron & Melvin, I think you’ve just assured my lateness for work tomorrow with the HWW link. 🙂
