While the world is abed..

On this crisp Thanksgiving morning, I sit sipping coffee, reading my book and wondering how 4 people are going to consume a 13lb turkey, cornbread stuffing, bacon-apple stuffing, mashed potatoes, broccoli, roasted yams, squash, honey roasted golden beets (possibly honey glazed), salad, 2 types of cranberry sauce, gravy, onion confit, 5 bottles of wines and still have room for a caramel Apple pie. (Note: I haven’t even considered a cheese sauce)

Ah, Thanksgiving, the celebration of excess. My favourite holiday of all.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with an excess of love, laughter and joy. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

No Pumpkin Pie? That’s my favourite part. 🙂

    Monica,
I’m not a fan of pumpkin pie, though we often serve it so my biases aren’t ruining everyone else’s traditions.
The meal turned out beautifully and if I can carve out a little time this week I’ll get some of the island/thanksgiving photos shared.
but for now… back to work.
