Soap Dome – the benefits of a rainy day

Soap Dome — Originally uploaded by LexnGer

With everyone complaining and whining about todays rainy and gloomy day, I thought I’d show you something beautiful that is only possible on a gray and damp day. If the sidewalk had not been saturated this soap bubble would not have just sat there waiting for me. And it was waiting for me.
This was taken in Yorkville in front of the Cumberland Street Toy Store that is just east of Bay where they have a robotic teddy bear blowing bubbles at passers by.

Interested in some really kick-ass bubble photos? Check Richard Heeks’ set All Bubbles on Flickr. I love the ones that are bursting like flowers from his wifes finger poking.
