Chanterelles in the wild
A surprise find down by my island office, chanterelles!
We have a lot of wild mushrooms on the island ranging from the varied and
tasty boletus to the pretty but poisonous amanita muscaria, but we’ve never
seen chanterelles before.
Sandy found them and called upon the mushroom expert (aka dad) to identify
them.
We’ve had them with steak for dinner and with scrambled eggs for breakfast. They are just as tasty as they are lovely.
