Giveaway: Longo’s Taste Ontario Grab Bag
It’s time for me to give away another big bag of Longo’s goodies to one of you lucky readers!
As many of you know, I spent most of yesterday at Longo’s Maple Leaf Square location. I ate, I shopped, and I hung out in the Loft. I also visited Corks Beer and Wine Bar, conveniently located in the Loft!
Corks serves a great list of Ontario wines and Ontario Beers and since the LCBO’s goLOCAL launched recently I felt inspired for this month’s question.
Here’s How to Enter (aka the hoop):
Leave a comment and tell me:
- the name of one of the Ontario wines or beers served at Corks(here’s a hint)
- one thing you hope will be in the Longo’s bag.
Deadline:
- all entries must be received before 5pm Thursday Sept 22nd (EST) to be eligible
Prize:
-
This time I packed that bag full to bursting with great goodies from the Maple Leaf Square store. I picked a little bit of this, a little bit of that, trying at all times to focus on Ontario products (though I did throw a couple of Longo’s branded and house-made products too.) All told, this month’s bag rang in at about $39.
The Winner:
- will be selected this evening by random draw of all the people who jumped through the hoop
- must be able to pick up their prize tomorrow – Friday Sept 23rd at Jarvis & Adelaide because the bag includes FRESH produce that is best enjoyed immediately!

Goldilocks and the Three Bears is on the beer list. I am sure everything in the bag will be great but I love the Longo’s EVOO and hope that will be there.
One of the wines served in Corks is Fielding Pinot Gris. I’m hoping some Ontario apples are in the bag since I’m craving a nice apple cobbler. Thanks!
The legendary #99 Wayne Gretzky shiraz is served! I’m hoping some chocolate is included because I have a sweet tooth!
Stratus Tollgate. Also Black Oak beers.
I hope the Longo’s bag has honey.
(Sent from my iPhone. Hope this works.)
fielding pinot gris i believe is from niagra.
hopefully some ontario fruits are in there, plan on doing some dessert baking this weekend.
Congratulations @Western221! You have just won the Longo’s bag filled with yumminess! I’ll contact you to arrange pickup!
And yes, there are Ontario fruits in there including some Honeycrisp Apples picked just for you yesterday at the Wilmot Orchards.
You’ll also find some sugar pears, golden beets, beautiful baby eggplants, a variety of peppers including cherry peppers,a head of broccolli, Macintosh apples, horseradish root, and a Turbani Squash.
I also topped up the bag with some Longo’s Extra Virgin Oil Olive, Longo’s Moderna Balsamic Vinegar, and some Fifth Town Cheese.
I hope you enjoy it!
the closest Longo’s to me is at Maple Leaf Square. I would put a tin of Just a Pinch’s Fennel Pollen and Dill Pollen in my bag.
its at 100 Bloor Street East, Toronto, ON
mmmm apples, id just put apples in it !
Longo’s at Yonge and Bloor – I would fill it with sweet delicious cheese. mmmmmmmm….cheeeeese.
the closest location that is easiest for me to get to (because it’s on my way home) is at 111 elizabeth st at dundas. and if i won, i’d opt for some quinoa, the ancient wonder grain!
Longo’s Yonge and Bloor. Depending on what the special of the day is, I’d fill the bag with that. Tuesdays – Sushi, Wednesdays – BBQ Chicken….
Longo at 100 Bloor. I’d go for sweets! 🙂
The closest Longo’s to me is the newly renovated Walkers Line & Dundas location in Burlington which I love! I would fill my bag with fresh fruit and veggies 🙂
Our nearest Longo’s is at Winston Churchill and Dundas. It’s big, the salad bar area is recently renovated, and the Bakery is *always* my first stop. Other than some of their delicious kaisers, I’d put some fresh tomatoes into my bag, and then top it off with garlic and onions, among other things. 🙂
the closest is 2 bloor street east.. I would fill my bag with lots of thai basil, longos mini sausages and all types of specialty cheeses.
