I couldn’t resist sharing when I saw this french horn in the art room we
were in. Turns out that 3 out of 4 of my group at el Bulli TO played French
Horn. And each for only a year. We never heard from Linda.
It was grade 7 for me. I wanted to play flute, I got assigned french horn.
I hated the french horn. I hated the bruises it left on my shins carrying it
home to practice. I still remember it knock my legs out from under me as I
walked home on the ice/snow in winter and it scuttering across the ice
towards the street and major traffic. I remember because I happened at least
once a week for the entire winter. I hate french horn!
It was the end of music classes for me.
