New Solstice Tradition – Noisemakers, Lightmakers and Troublemakers!

HAPPY SOLSTICE! — Tonight join us at Allan Gardens 7pm for a Solstice parade.

As you know we usually do a parade for Solstice – noisemakers, light makers, troublemakers – that kind of thing.

We’re doing it again this year, but not in Kensington.  (you can see my rant on that here: https://unsweetened.ca/2011/12/happy-solstice-everyone)

We ARE  doing a low key drumming out of the dark in Allan Gardens meeting at the south entrance (at Pembroke & Gerrard) at 7pm.

We’d love for you to come join us.  It won’t be huge, it won’t be long, we don’t have plans for afterwards, and we don’t have permission.

But it will be silly, cold, possibly snowy, and filled with awesome!

Remember that year we walked alone down the middle of the street banging our drums and trying to keep our candles lit? That year the Kensington parade was cancelled due to wind and weather? It’ll be like that!

It might just be me and Gerry. But we will be there.  We hope that some of you will be too.

Maybe we’ll see you and your hats with ribbons, light makers, noisemakers and joy to chase back the night!

Happy solstice my friends!
