Winner in 86’d Food Photography Awards

As part of her 86’d events Monday nights at the Drake, Ivy Knight ran the 86’d Food Photography Awards Night last night and one of my submission won the Phone Category!

This photo which I call “Zane, Zane and Mark” which I took one day when Thundering Thelma was parked near Queen & Church and Mark Cutrara was serving a meatball sandwich at the truck.

      AlexaClark I like the self-portrait in spoon, and the picture of your Dad holding the egg. Those are my two faves. Also a big fan of what I assume is a butchershop on your trip to Spain, with all those jamons hanging from the ceiling!

        PatAnderson Thanks Pat.  The spoon and Dad holding the egg were both photos gerrythorpe strongly encouraged me to include.  
        Yes the butchershop was in the Casco Viejo neighbourhood in Bilbao, filled corner to corner with pork.  I wasn’t happy with the colour balance I got with that shot.  Still learning… a lot ;->

          AlexaClark PatAnderson gerrythorpe I took some pictures of hanging hams in Italy — it’s very difficult to get the color balance! there’s daylight from the front window and usually fluorescent light above the hams. Challenging to make them look natural. I think you did a good job at that!
