Instagram Daily Digest
[UPDATE – 2016/09/20 – the plug in WP Instagram Digest hasn’t been updated in over 2 years, so it will not be reinstalled. So this post is no longer “functioning”, but is retained for historic purposes… I’d recommend you look at something more current and tasty.]
Since many of you aren’t on instagram, and I’ve started using it regularly for sharing what I’m up to, I thought I’d try out a new tool which automatically publishes a digest of the Instagram photos I’ve taken. I’m using a plugin called WP Instagram Digest and we’ll just see if it works.
Long-term readers might remember the 4-ways series, which were collages & photo posts showing rather than telling what I had been up to. These new Daily Photo Updates will be similar and hopefully as interesting to you.
What you see below should be a gallery of the instagram photos I took yesterday. And if you are getting this via email or RSS, I may have even rushed over to the blog and updated this text… so it’s different every day (On the blog… likely not in your feeds.)

If you’re meaning to share this with non-instagram users, it might not be the best pluggin, as it’s prompting people to login to their instagram account to view content.

Meeshbeer thanks for letting me know! Sounds like this is not the right solution. I’ll dig around, do one more and see if that fixes the issue.

AlexaClark no problem! I’m in the process of planning/building my site, so I’ll be dealing with all of these things soon too I’m sure!
Humm, well, it turns out that this plug-in does NOT do a daily digest. It simply shows the latest images posted to Instagram. And that means it is constantly updated as opposed to being a nice snapshot in time.
And the test is complete… not more of this silliness.
