Today Marks 5,000 Twitter Followers.

I was checking the new interface for twitter profiles today and found some Interesting round numbers. As of this screenshot I had 5K followers and was following 3600 twitter handles. Maybe not huge numbers but definitely not small.

Of course I believe very strongly that in Social Media (especially in a personal sense) it’s all about who you follow not about who follows you.

That’s not the traditional or perhaps strongest marketing view of the follower and following relationship however, for me Social Media and twitter specifically has always been about connecting, learning and growing. Sure it’s about sharing too, but that is second to what is shared with me.

Thanks to the amazing people who influence, inform and share with me. And for those who follow me, I hope I keep you amused, educated and informed.

[Quick update: about 10 minutes after posting this 2 people stopped following. People are funny.]
