Want Chicken Wings!

What is it about January that makes me crave chicken wings?

Sure, we can lay it at the feet of years of annual birthday parties with plates of wings and jugs of beer. But those Public Pickles, filled with great people and silly posing, started because it was one early January day and I was craving chicken wings.

First Public Pickle - beer and chicken wings

Sure, we could attribute it to growing up in the 80s when chicken wings were cheap and ever pub, bar and tavern was frying and saucing them, hot and salty, to keep us buying more beer.
Friends, Pub, Beer & Chicken Wings

Sure, we could attribute to cold weather and the human instinct to eat fatty flavourful food to keep our spirits and energy up.

I’m sure there are many other justifications, but the truth is: it’s January and I want chicken wings and jugs of beer!

But here’s the challenge – crispy, saucy, flavourful challenge:

Who is making the best chicken wings in Toronto?

For many years we hit the Crown & Dragon with a gang for 1/2 price wing nice to taste their ENTIRE wing menu and celebrate our birthdays.  It was great to satisfy a wide range of wing eaters. But I’d like to know what other options are out there. Who’s doing it best and who’s doing it well.  Preferably with a couple of choices of sauces for the hot-heads and delicate palates, and with jugs of beer.

So tell me, where do you go for chicken wings?
