It’s #NationalClamChowderDay and so we went chowder crazy for #FarmFarmBistro dinner. Luckily chowder is a quick dish so I made both a Maritime Clam Chowder - a perfect echo of my childhood. And a Manhattan Clam Chowder reminding me of my visits to NYC. Small bowls so we could have both. Yum!
Wing night at #FarmFarmBistro. Dry Jerk, Messy Sweet Heart and Killer Greek alongside a big Greek salad from @winghouseschomberg. It’s nice to mix things up for #takeoutday.
All those extra apples from yesterday’s @ontarioapples tasting went straight into tonight’s #FarmFarmBistro pies!
After all those wonderful apples, I still needed a proper dinner, so off to @josephs_shawarma for the perfect combination of what I was craving! Lots of veggies, lots of garlic, lots of savoury flavours!
Fish tacos for dinner tonight at #FarmFarmBistro. Tilapia pan fried after being dredged in spices and corn flour. Served with an apple brussel sprouts slaw (like the one from a couple of days ago but no feta), pickled onions, house-made sriracha and a little drizzle of A+B white sauce.
You’ve been to wine tastings, you’ve been to cheese tastings, you may even have been to an olive oil tasting, but have you ever been to an apple tasting?

My wood pile is getting smaller as my hair gets longer. And it’s getting snowed under too!
The first thing they did this morning when they got out into the paddock was run and jump and play. Everyone loves fresh snow!
No, this poo-poo platter is not for you Pixie-poo.
Today’s snowshoe buddy. We only have 2 pairs so, we have to mix things up. Don’t worry, Pixie is still there too!
Superb Owl Sunday came true here @marbill_hill_farm as we rescued what we believe is an Eastern Screech Owl from the chimney of what is luckily a rarely used fireplace.
I don’t know of the best thing about going out snowshoeing is that Pixie gets to come for a run, that I get out into the cold fresh air, that @gerrythorpe and I laugh and joke the whole time, or that I get to wear these silly hats I keep making.
