#1 If I Ruled the World

Okay, yesterday I promised that I would participate in NaBloPoMo and post at least one post a day following Maggie Mason’s No One Cares What You Had for Lunch 100 blog post ideas.

Little did I know what I was getting myself into.

In the midst of a day filled with meetings I ran up against Maggie’s suggestion: #1 Reign Supreme.

It starts with the message that “All of us should just learn to tolerate stupid people. But what if you didn’t have to?”  and ends with “if you ruled the world, things would be better”.

I’m not entirely sure that is true… however, if I ruled the world, people would be allowed to be as “stupid” as they want to be and no one else would take it as a personal slight.

    I would probably just outlaw leaf-blowers. I hate those things.

    Smart!  It never occured to me to ban something annoying.  God, I’d suck as a ruler.
