Thursday in Metro News

Thursday's Metro included a little article on CheapEats Toronto.

On the same page is a phone of Jude Law, lots of Cadbury chocolate and an ad for My Name is Earl.  That puts us in pretty good company if you ask me.

I've been waiting for this article to run since the interview in March.  Jo Ann and I went to 2 restaurants, talked for hours, and she took photos of our lunch and even a couple of the restaurateur serving us.  But the article didn't run.  So I waited.

Then Thursday Gerry called me on my cell to say a co-worker said we were in Metro. (So big thanks to him, because otherwise we wouldn't have known.)

By the time the message got passed along to me it was early afternoon I couldn't find a copy of the Metro anywhere.  I looked and looked, then finally went online to see what they had written (read the article online here)  I did finally find a print copy in the pile of papers at the back of Jet Fuel on Friday.

As it turns out, the food editor Aonghus Kealy called on Wednesday to get a cover shot and to let me know the article was running.  However, the message didn't show up in my voicemail until this morning. Argh!
