And How Was Your Week

My WeekAs many of you know I spent the week unable to talk. My self-diagnosed laryngitis was accompanied with a bad case of feeling crappy all around.

I figure my immune system was in bad shape after my 60 hour adventure from Island to Toronto (more on that soonish), followed immediately by (), the stresses of presenting when overly tired and associated talking-way-too-much-and-indiscriminate hugging. (Molson you throw great party!)

Though, if I’m really pressed to say why and how I got sick, I’m still blaming Jason. Yes, Jason, who shook my hand Wednesday and immediately when he’d realized what he’d done blurted out “Oh! I hope you don’t get sick.”  Then, a scant 4 days later (aka a perfect incubation period), boom!  I’m sick.

Not just a little sniffly-sick, but complete loss-of-vocal-control sick.  I spent the better part of 5 days unable to speak above a whisper.  Needless to say my busy week back was all cancelled (well, not the wine tasting, so almost all cancelled). I spent most of my week in bed watching back episodes of and sleeping.  With the occasional shower to tire me out so I could sleep again. The wine tasting helped with this too, but as Gerry warned me when the wine loosened my vocal chords enough that I could talk to him all the way from the other couch and I talked for 15 whole minutes… it was worse the next day!

The interesting thing is that I’m not the only sickie coming out of last weekend.

So, how was your week?
